PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Coady International Institute
The public is invited to a unique art event at the Coady International Institute on the StFX campus.
16 large panels make up an exhibit called “Gandhi, King, Ikeda; a legacy of building peace.”
The exhibit features colourful photographs, inspiring quotes and facts about three great leaders who promoted dignity and freedom for all people.
Viewers will be able to walk around the freestanding, S-curved walls, and explore the amazing lives of Mohandas K. Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Daisaku Ikeda.
The peace exhibit runs from Monday September 26th to October 14th.
The official opening is at 5 p.m. this coming Monday, in the Vegso Room in the main Coady building.
Trivia Quiz ~ Sunday, October 16th at the People’s Place on Main Street in Antigonish. Quizmaster Dr. Sean Mitchell will test your knowledge and yes there will be prizes (okay, little prizes…) and refreshments. $25 registers your team of 4 trivia geniuses. All proceeds go to helping buy new materials for the library. And it’s fun, too.
